Hakuna Matataa Sound is a group of DJs, dedicated to reggae & dancehall music from all decades. Founded in 2001 in the small town called Meißen, Saxony, Germany, Hakuna is inspired by the original soundsystems from Jamaica and the UK. The mission is to rock the massive with big tunes, no matter if roots, rubadub, dancehall, rocksteady or ska.

Hakuna Matataa played dances all over Europe and sometimes supported Jamaican or British artists inna showcase style. The crew is well connected with artists and producers from the worldwide reggae scene. This has an impact on the dub box, which grows slowly but steadily through countless dubplate sessions in Jamaica, the US and Europe.
Over the years, Hakuna organised and played countless events, such as the FullUp! series (Leipzig), Champions in Action (Dresden) or Up To Di Time (Dresden).
Hakuna Sound played at the Destination Kingston Clash (2009, Hamburg) and the Euro Cup Soundclash (2012, Berlin).
